• try scratch your pearl with a coin and then using a soft cloth rub it, and the scratch should fade away,

or

• bite the pearl. if you could feel sand coming out from the pearl then it is original.

and, pat talcum powder once in a while to your pearls to ensure the longlasting of the blings.
